Knife stand with storage drawer. Displays 3 knives proudly and stores an additional 7 knives.
Designed in Fusion 360. This is a modular design, so no supports needed. Bottom section has pins and top section has matching holes. The rear holes (3mm) had to be slightly cleaned up on mine with a drill bit, but the side (2mm) ones snapped in perfectly. You can “super glue” them together if you want but mine fit well enough to sit flat.
Model has 4 pcs with total print time approx. 32hrs with settings below.
My print setting: MK3s+ Prusaslicer
Filament: I used Sunlu grey/black PLA+ on smooth PEI print sheet. These parts take almost the whole width, so I made sure to clean the PEI sheet real good and bump my bed temp +5c. I normally run bed temp at 60-65c for SunLu PLA+. I bumped it up to 70c and had no issues with lifting.
Clearances: Drawer will fit 100% perfect. There is a designed 0.5mm gap all around the drawer. The top front edge of the drawer and the front overhang lined up very good. I did do 2-3 passes of light wet sanding with 320 git paper. It fit fine without doing that, but I felt it was a bit tight.
As for the drawer pockets, I designed them to fit most any folder size out there. I tend to favor larger sized folders. For those who care, my top shelf pics are Spyderco PM2 Crucarta, Spyderco Manix2 and Kershaw ZT 0452CF.
After using the model I orignally printed in the pics I modified with some improvements.
