A wedge for venting out the humidity in a Sunlu S2 filament dryer. Uses a hinge to easily close and open the vent.

I wanted to make this for a while because I open the box for the first couple of hours but I want it closed afterwords to not absorb humidity when not using the drybox. Used the hinge form @Meister Edel to print it without any supports.

I included a couple of variants with/without logo/Bowden tube hole. It should work with other dryboxes that have a lid width of 4mm or less.

Printing: 

no supports (except v2), 20% infill, PLA, no brim, 0.2 height

Mounting:

Mount using double sided tape.

Updates:

  • Update 1
    • Added a new version (v2) which adds additional support for mounting with double sided tape. Mine kept falling. This version will need supports: touching buildplate.
  • Update 2
    • Added a new version (v3) which removes the need for supports from v2.
