Hand Towel Rack
This stylish rack can hold a hand towel beside your sink for easy hand-drying. It includes a base with interior slots in which you can add wheel-balancing weights to make it heavier, and small holes in which you can stick cabinet bumpers to make the bottom surface non-skid.
How to Print
This rack consists of five printable parts:
- The Base
This should be printed with the four small holes facing upwards. Slice the model with a pause added right before the interior slots are covered so you can add some wheel-balancing weights to make the base heavier, if you desire. There are four holes on the top into which you can put cabinet door bumper stickers to make it a non-skid surface.
I printed with 33% infill with seven-gram weights inserted, and the rack is fully stable.
- The Arms
Print two of the arms using relatively light infill. Both the left and right arm are the same model. I used 8% infill to keep the arms light relative to the base.
- The Top Rack
I printed using a wood-fill PLA to give the rack a more organic feel. Also a light 8% infill.
- The Pegs
To help ensure the top remains firmly fixed to the arms, print two hexagonal pegs; they have some clearance to them, so I recommend gluing them in place.
Assembly
Pause printing the base right before the interior slots are covered if you'd like to insert some wheel-balancing weights to make it heavier.
The arms should fit snugly into the base, but you may also use glue.
The top attaches to the arms with hexagonal pegs, and I strongly recommend gluing it in place to make it extra secure.
