Description

PDF

A worse (but even sillier!) Cheetah 2.0 with a hardware cost of roughly 10-15$ and an (ideally modded) nitefinder. Functions the same as one, but attached to a set of nitefinder internals.

HARDWARE:

An N-Strike Nitefinder with a functioning plunger system and springs

30 blaster screws (mostly from the nitefinder)

Roughly 5.5 inches/143mm or more of 17/32 brass

1 short rubber band

Some superglue

A caliburn rambase O-ring or any O-ring meant for 17/32 brass

PRINTING & ASSEMBLY:

This is a lot of text, but I wanted to try and provide at least some guidance for assembly-

Supports are (unfortunately) required for the main shell pieces, I recommend increasing the “X/Y distance” for supports from stock to make removal much easier. Bare minimum is 20% infill 2 walls.

First, you'll need to remove the front half of the plunger tube which houses the stock barrel and air restrictor. Be advised that some variants of the stock blaster have these two sections glued together which can make things much more difficult.

Insert and glue (hotglue and/or superglue) the “ramcoupler” where the stock barrel would normally slide onto the plunger tube, with the notch facing downwards aligned with the gap in the clamshell.

The rest of the back half is assembled essentially the same as the Nitefinder it houses. Place everything down the way it would be normally, being careful with the annoying springs.

Screw one of the magwell sections onto the back section to help assemble the breech system. Place the “breech" piece in its slot and loosely slide the brass barrel in through it to the ”ramcoupler" piece. Mark the spot on the outside of the blaster where you will cut down the brass barrel. Mark where you will glue the brass to the “breech” piece. Make sure to be precise so that the brass seals in the ramcoupler while clearing the magwell to reload.

Cut the brass barrel to length and superglue it into the breech piece. Be careful and double check as this is the only glued part of the blaster.

Once the breech assembly is finished, leave it in the slot, screw in the mag release, and screw the other half of the magwell on top of it. Put screws in the holes above the mag release and on the mag release itself and wrap a rubber band between them. Screw the “slide” onto the holes on the “breech” piece.

Double check the movement of the mag release, plunger rod, catch, trigger, and breech and make sure everything works properly and smoothly. If not, then grab some sandpaper and sand until they are.

My test blaster hit around 80-90fps with a minor spring and catch upgrade over a stock nitefinder. Your results may vary.

I hope you enjoy this goofy design that I made in 2022 and forgot to upload until now!
