What’s up guys. This is my ring holder which is designed to both hold rings, and help you decide who has to wash the dishes and who gets to dry them. Drop your rings in and the person with the lowest score can hang their ring up and finish those dishes.

I’m just starting a YouTube Channel and I’m using these contest ideas as mini projects that I’ll do in between larger ones. A like or sub would help a lot!

Print settings:

10% infill

Increase shells to at least 4

You can get away with 10% infill as long as you increase the number of shells to 4. The body of the holder is strong but the pins are thin. Make sure your printer is dialed in to prevent the nozzle from breaking off the pins.

I’ve included printable rings as well in case you don’t want to use your real ones. This print works best with rings under 23mm in diameter but it can be scaled up for bigger rings. I based the size off of a standard print bed 220x220 so that it can easily be printed without supports.

The second version has a more gradual incline. It will slow the speed of the fall to decrease the likelihood of rings popping out at the end. (The first design was constrained by the depth of my window sill). I recommend adding some hot glue to the front of the holder, this decreased the incline and adds slip protection (it’s not at all necessary but good for surfaces that get wet).

Please don’t use rings with stones in them or place the holder above a hazard. No need to risk damaging your rings, that’s why I made the 3D printed ones. Plus you can still use the posts to hold your real rings.

Take a look at my video of the print. I’m just starting my YouTube channel.
