Kept getting small parts of filament down in the motor mounts that I had to vacuum out.

This is the best dust cover option I've seen. Tight tolerances, looks great.

If it's not clear, you don't need to disassemble anything. Clean the area around the original dust cover and then spin it counterclockwise (you may need to some needle nose pliers to get it going). Insert the new dust cover halves, and then spin the original back down. Don't tighten the original too tight, it needs to spin freely with the threaded rod.

Printed the covers in Galaxy Black PLA and installed on my 10th anniversary MK3S+

This might seem like a silly question but in order to install the covers do you need to disassemble the z-axis motors from the printer? Also do you recommend using PETG or would PLA be fine for this? (edited)

@NorthernPrint3D No disassembly required. Each side requires two parts. Put them together around the z axis screws and push down. PLA would work great as they have no structural purpose.

My weight optimized version printed in Prusa PETG orange.
Thanks for sharing.

Parts worked great. Should keep z-motors a lot cleaner. Thanks for the parts

I had the same problem as you. Little pieces of filament or dirt from cleaning the nozzle falling on top of the z-motors. These covers are just what I needed. I had seen others before but these work great and are easy to print and to install.
Thanks for these covers.
