My printer needed an upgrade, I found that I had an old LCD HDMI Touch screen lying around and decided to add Octodash to my setup. Since I already use Octoprint, the plugin was simply installed and the screen was up and running. As for the case for the touch screen, I modelled the touch screen in Fusion 360 and then built the case around it. Sadly my aluminium extrusion is not the normal kind and doesn't allow t nuts to be used as the width of the slot is 5mm and not the normal 6mm. I managed to fix this by printing some clips that rotate into the slots and adding some 3d printed TPU seals to make the adhesion to the bar better.
I found that although there are 6 clips I could only use three, three seemed to do the job. It's difficult to get all 6 in on a corner.
As for the Touch screen, I couldn't figure out which version it is and where I got it from, I've attached a picture of the back of the PCB so that it can be used for reference.

For best results print the hinge so that the thread is being printed vertically rather than horizontally. The case thread can be printed horizontally, provided the hinge is printed vertically. It is also recommended to print the seals in TPU so that it grips the extrusion better. As for layer heights, its recommended to print them with 0.1mm layers as this will allow the pieces to fit correctly.
