OMTech Polar Replacement Lens Cover

I replaced my nozzle with an aftermarket one, and the sizing is different so the original cover no longer fits correctly.  In response, I've modified the design and posted as v2.  Version 2 of the cover will work both with the OEM nozzle and aftermarket ones.

I use the external control instead of calculating offset in LightBurn to set the z-axis height before on my OMTech Polar performing cuts/engravings.  However, when the lens is lowered the metal cover can no longer be installed.  My replacement allows for easy installation and removal of the cover regardless of the lens position.

REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the 3D printed model, you will need 3 cylinder magnets that are 5mm in diameter and 3mm in height.  

DIRECTIONS

I printed in PLA and PETG should also work without messing up tolerances/dimensions.  Print with front of cover face down on build plate, at 0.2 mm layer height, no supports/brim, and 100% infill.

You will need to insert a print pause at the top of the magnet hole just before the layer where the print is inset over the hole.  When printer pauses insert magnets ensuring polarity is correct on all 3 (you may also add a drop of super glue in the hole first, but not required). Push down on magnets making sure they sit below the top surface, and once magnets are in place resume printing.

In the included photos, I show how this model differs from the OEM cover, and where I store the OEM cover when not in use.  Also, I installed the magnets incorrectly on my first effort which is why the photo shows me holding the cover in place.
