It's very important to minimize bottom layer curling. If curling around sharp corners is an issue, add a brim or use an adhesion aid.
Print one “Top” and one “Bottom” for each connector. If file names do not include these labels, the connector either prints as a single part (such as caps and I Connectors) or the top and bottom are symmetrical (like T Connectors).
If using pins, print a few test copies first to determine if the regular or loose option is right for your printer.
Pipes
Pipes are available in default, no hole, and rib versions. Default pipes and no-hole pipes are a little more flexible and durable. Rib pipes are a little more rigid. For most purposes, use the default pipes.
Small (30mm long)
Medium (90mm long)
Large (120mm long)
Curved Pipes
Curved pipes make a 90 degree turn and are sized to match the straight pipes. Print two middles and two ends. Assemble using just the clamping force of the end parts.
Align the top and bottom parts of the connector then insert pins to lock the halves together.
Pins should be a tight fit, but they should not be so tight that the connector is damaged from inserting the pin. Applying a few careful taps with a hammer to seat a tight pin is both acceptable and expected.
In most cases, glue is NOT required, but it may be useful for loose pins or connectors that only have only a single pin.
Updates
An earlier version of this model used incorrectly sized pins. These have been corrected.
