3D model of a simple base that holds a mobile radio for desktop use. Add a switch and 80MM silent fan. Great for a heavy use radio that needs to be cool.
I used this switch https://a.co/d/8b4MGsZ
I used this fan grill https://a.co/d/2nALMq3
I used this fan and it is silent https://a.co/d/9umIzpH
Model was printed at .2 layer height for the feet in TPU/Flex and Sides PLA plus. Base and Main body were printed at .3 layer height in PLA plus. Using 20% or more infill for strength no supports needed. The hole spacing on the sides is for my Yaesu radio, but may work for other radios. You can also drill new holes or remix the sides to your liking. I attached the feet with ¾ inch deck screws. Base can be mounted with double sided tape. Sides are glued on with CV glue and radio of 5 ½ to 5 5/8 inch wide should mount easily. There is a bit of flex. The fan I used is very much silent. I wired it all together with stock radio powercord which I cut and added three Dupont jumper wires to the fan plug two positive and one ground. Solder and heat shrink helped. Sorry I don't have a wiring diagram for you. But the pigtail wire to power the radio provides power all the time. The switch is strictly for the fan and strictly on the positive/red wire side. I got on a local repeater with a buddy. I switched the fan to all three position and he did not hear any noise from the fan or switch.
Happy printing
