Updated 2023-09-29: the original design turned out to be a bit too fragile - the vertical bars can sometimes snap off. The new design makes them 50% thicker, and adds an angled bottom to the slots.

A friend of mine likes to wash and reuse plastic kitchen bags, but was annoyed at having to hang them up on a wooden spoon to dry. A discussion about 3D printing led to a special request for a better way to dry the bags. While there are several solutions available out there, I always like to see if I can come up with a new twist.

I wanted something simple and compact that could easily be stored in a drawer when not in use, didn't need screwing into a wall, could work with bags of various sizes, didn't require assembly or moving parts, and could be printed on a smaller printer. This is the design I came up with — four bars of different sizes that stack together for storage. Just open and straighten the bag, slide the edges of the bag into the slots, and stand it up on a countertop.
