This frame was designed to help manage the electronic components required for a switchwire conversion (SKR Mini E3, Creality boardes, Raspberry Pi, U2C boards etc,..). Typical conversions have you squish all these components at the rear of the printer making it tough to mount not to mention cable manage.
THE DESIGN
This frame is ideally used when converting an Ender 3 V2 to become a Voron Switchwire or Enderwire as they are sometimes referred to. This mod does need to be printed on a bed that is capable of printing 280mm. I am also working on a version that can be printed on the Ender 3 bed so the board will be split into 2 parts.
This is a beta release to ensure that everything fits together and works as intended. There are mounts for the SKR Mini E3 V3 and Raspberry Pi. Will be adding mounts for the U2C as this has been requested.
I would recommend printing the board inserts with supports as there is a small lip that holds the pieces in place. There is also some inserts that can be used that will not mount entirely on the board (optional).
BOM
This model can either be printed on a bed capable of accommodating a 280mm print for the single piece frame or on the Ender 3 bed when implementing the 2 piece frame. The parts are recommended to be printed in ABS or ASA if you are building an enclosed printer but can also be printed in PLA or PETG for those looking to do an open conversion assuming that you are not printing with the bed temp above 80. All parts are oriented correctly to just slice and print. Supports are required to print the board mounts.
Additional parts necessary are: -
Single piece electronics frame
4 x M5x8 BHCS screws to mount the frame
4 x M5 T Nuts to secure the frame to the extrusions
5 x heatset inserts for to mount the SKR Mini E3
5 x M3x8 screws to mount the SKR Mini E3 to the bolt-on mounts
4 x M2 self tapping screws to mount the Raspberry Pi
4 x heat inserts for the front 6020 fan
4 x M3x8 BHCS screws to mount the front fan onto the frame mount
2 piece electronics frame
2 x heatset inserts for the 2-2 frame
2 x M3x8 screws to join the 2 frame pieces together
4 x M5x8 BHCS screws to mount the frame
4 x M5 T Nuts to secure the frame to the extrusions
5 x heatset inserts for to mount the SKR Mini E3
5 x M3x8 screws to mount the SKR Mini E3 to the bolt-on mounts
4 x M2 self tapping screws to mount the Raspberry Pi
4 x heat inserts for the front 6020 fan
4 x M3x8 BHCS screws to mount the front fan onto the frame mount
NOTE: When using the front 6020 fan mount you will need to remove the SKR Mini E3 mount labeled 1.
LEGEND
When printing the board bolt-ons take note of the print on the under side to correctly identify the part. Will add more as more boards are supported.

R Pi - Raspberry Pi board
U2C - BTT U2C board
FGem - Fly Gemini board
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Download and print all the parts required for your controller boards. Typically at minimum that would be an SKR Mini E3 and a Raspberry Pi.
The frame
For the 2 piece frame
insert 2 heatsets into the board frame 2-2.
join the 2 frames together using 2 x M3x8 screws.
SKR Mini E3 board
insert 4 heatsets to the rear mounting bolt ons.
install the mounts as shown in the picture below ensuring that the text is upright.
Use 5 x M3x8 screws to mount the SKR Mini E3 to the bolt-on mounts (the bolt-on labeled 1 is not required if you are mounting the front 6020 intake fan)
Raspberry Pi board
install mounts and Pi board using the M2 self tapping screws as shown below
Front fan installation
insert 4 x heatsets into the 6040 (ensure that the inserts are on the front side of the fan as this will be installed as an intake fan)
Mount the fan to the 2 screws that hold on front skirt.
Use 4 x M5x8 BHCS screws and 4 x M5 T Nuts to mount the electronics board frame with the boards pre-installed to the printer extrusions.

Do let me know what other boards you intend to mount.
