Ender 3 Pro Dual Y Axis Linear Rail Mount for BLV Carriage

This mount allows adding dual linear rails to the Y axis of Ender 3 Pro with the popular BLV linear rail conversion kit.

This design was directly inspired by the following models:

The standard BLV Linear Rail conversion kit for Ender 3 Pro uses a single rail for the Y axis. With the weight of the bed and the rail being unbalanced, it typically results in bed wobble as the rail wears down.

This mount allows you to add 2 rails on the either side of the Y axis which eliminates the above problems. The BLV bed mount plate attaches directly on to this with no physical modifications required.

 

Print Settings

Print from a higher strength material such as PETG or ABS.

  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 100%
  • Parameters: 4

 

Required Hardware

  • 8x - M3 Heatset Inserts
  • 8x - M3x8 Cap Head Screws
  • 20x - M3x8 Socket Head Screws
  • 12x - M3 T-Nuts for 20 extrutions
  • 2x - MGN12 300mm Linear Rails with MGN12H carriages
  • Bed Mount Plate and Accessories from BLV Kit

 

Instructions

Add the M3 heatset inserts to the printed mount from the inside:

 

Make sure the inserts are flush to the top side:

 

Add and align the two linear rails to the sides of the Y extrusion as shown. Use M3x8 socket head screws and M3 T-nuts:

 

Now add the printed mount over the two carriages and secure with M3x8 socket heat screws from the both side. Make sure once it's mounted that the carriages can slide freely together:

 

On the BLV bed mount plate, move the belt attachments to the top side:

 

Secure the BLV bed mount plate to the printed mount using 8x M3x8 cap head screws. Then attach the belts to the bed mount plate as shown:

 

Make sure the bed can move freely back and forth. Then you can attach the heated bed assembly as normal.
