is this thing actually retractable? or do you just put the pieces on for it to be "on"?

@ChrisBelden_2696745 is this question actually serious? :D do you read manuals, instructions and watch comments and makes? try it sometimes...
No idea how this is being printed.
nice model! it would be nice to list how many of each part is needed thanks!
Cool design. I got the mmu files from Carlmmii, which worked great. The main blade is super flimsy, so I found that the luke Skywalker’s blade from 3D printing world works better if you tape it and print with 2 perimeters. I used 2 screws on the back to affix the 3 segments without using glue in case I wanted to disassemble it at a later time.

First of all, this is really cool. unfortunately, the knobs and detail parts dont fit in the places where they are supposed to be glued on. Additionally, could you make a blade lock function and a working belt clip? Although, nice work man, id love to see more lightsabers like that! (Btw sry for my grammar im not an english native). Can somebody give me some advice on how to paint this thing? Like the Heat-Up effect on the side blades or how i can make it look chipped. Thx.
@Blacky16_3196370 I’m all for that as well
Fantastico diseño para los amantes de la saga star wars, muchisimos detalles, facil de montar.

Amazing print. I did have issues getting the bottom of the pommel into the locking fingers (snapped nearly all of them), so I just ended up throwing all the pieces together as a multi-color print and let the XL do its thing.
Ended up trying a blending technique for the side guards, doing layer-to-layer color alternating. Turned out well enough, but silk filaments apparently do NOT want to blend at all. From a distance though, you can't tell, and that's what matters.
Side guards are just press-fit for easy blade replacement. Red wire has a splice hidden by one of the wire guides to allow the pommel to unscrew still.
This one was a build for a friend......... printing another one for myself as I type this out. :D

@carlmmii_321665 awesome print dude! I love the gradient with silk filament, I didn’t print one myself, so it is something to see in real life... very well done :)
@carlmmii_321665 i know this was almost a year ago, but if you still have the multicolor files id love if you could share them with me.
I'm having a lot of trouble with those smaller blades, I'm using Bambu Slicer and setting the items you mentioned to the correct settings but all of them slide past each other. I'm wondering if an A1/BambuSlicer needs different settings? (edited)
@JustThaPrints_353423 I added a steeper angle version of the side blades, but you gotta split the .stl file into objects as you will need those separately. I can adjust the angle more, but I can not see why it would go all the way through. Did you try to set the extrusion width higher than 0.6?
@brinkbeat I'll give it a try, thank you for your help!
Got most everything printed out, does anyone have a diagram of how this goes together? lol
@brinkbeat you still have a diagram? I have it laid out and I think I have it but don't want to mess it up gluing it together. Printed beautifully!
what do i do if the blades are too tight and don't come out
@joseph3d_1080495 if you used my settings and it is still tight, then try to adjust either the extrusion multiplier or extrusion width :)
