One of the buttons of my microwave broke off and instead of buying one I used it as an exercise in reverse engineering.
I decided to print it in 2 parts too avoid supports since there isn't much space to remove the supports and the distance between the switch and the button isn't all that big so any support material that remains interferes with this.
The 2 parts are joined with 1.75mm filament. It's not crucial as the part is held in place with clips molded in the front panel.
The version I have now is printed in PLA and this works but I feel like it would last longer (I don't know how long it lasts yet) in PETG or ASA/ABS (original part is injection molded ABS)
