Creality K1 door rattel fix

The door of the K1 rattle badly , looks like crealty is cutting cost on the hinges and just used the 2 tiny rods within a  metal hole as a hinge, also the door moves freely that some times it will slam hard …  this is a fast fix 

I changed only the lower base, since the top is directly thro the frame.  ( will look into this later )

check the Video to see the way it was fitted 

1- Make sure u print it in ABS or ABS+ or any strong high temp material.  ( its too small so i would just make it 6 walls to fill the whole model).

2-You need to unscrew the buttom door screws from out side , ( Be careful not to let go the door as it will fall down and brake) 

3- Once screws are removed , slide down the door and put it aside. Be extra careful not to drop the door.

4- you will see 2 screws holding the hinges to the base , remove those screws. And install the new Printed hinge ( be sure to test fit the lower hinge of the door and the base you printed to make sure its tight and flash-fit, as it's a very tight fit ( diameter and base thickness) 

Install the base , and the lower door hinge ( without the door) , make sure the hinge is pushed in the base all the way. 

6- fit the door back ( remember to slide the top hing 1st ) and align the lower fitting hole with the lower door hing.

if you face any issue ( since Creality made a very cheap machining so some printers might have different tolerances... make sure you sand the printed part a lil .. or adjust the top screws to give it way , or slightly sand the hole to make it bigger to fit your hinge ( this needs to be very tight as it will losen up after some use to become perfect ) 

Note i did make the hole a lil ofset after testing different setup .. just to adjust the spacing and perfet the fitment of the door to the printer frame .. so all spacing around the printer is close to perfect.

Remember to make sure of the hinge fit before putting the door … also the base screws need to be tight .. so they dont hit the turning hinge base.
