04/25/24 - The fusion3D download links got broken along the way, so I included the files for direct download and editing in Fusion360 here!
3/18/2019 - After getting a few requests, I cleaned things up a little bit and have made it available via Fusion360 sharing. If you'd like to play with it, you can now download your own version! Check it out here.
1/19/2017 - You asked for it! 2 new types of base have been added for personal customization, one with a blank face, and another with a cutout and blank plate. If you want to create your own parameterized plate, you can remake the plate out of a block .5" deep by 5.8675" wide by 13" tall. (.5" by 5.8675" by 13")
Note: Version 2 is now up! look for the V2 files for a more accurate print!
A rough model of the College Football Playoff Trophy.
This was made using rough dimensional matching to get approximate angles and distances of the trophy. There are few to no other models available to work off of, so this is the best I could do. If anyone has a better model or knows how to do dimensional matching well, please have at it in a remix!
The current version was designed for a single-color printer and is meant to print in 4 parts and pieced together. If anyone wants a solid model or is one that is better optimized for a multi-extrusion printer, leave a note in the comments.
The STL files are supposed to be the size of the original, though there is discrepancy on whether just the measurements quoted by the committee being the top part or the whole trophy including the base. The overall trophy should be roughly proportional though
The example print shown in the pictures is at 25% scale.
The author marked this model as their own original creation. Imported from Thingiverse.
