Enclosure for raspberry pi zero with HQ camera (flex cable inside).

Feel free to adapt the model to your needs. The image quality of the camera is beautiful, and I'm happy with the result.

I found a project called ShowMeWebcam, which allows you to use the raspberry pi as a webcam for your PC. The boot time is 5 seconds, and it works seamlessly.

If you prefer a standalone camera for timelapse photography or a monitoring camera, feel free to check my raspiCam project on Github.

Parts:

  • Raspberry pi zero
  • The raspberry pi high-quality camera module
  • Raspberry pi objective 6mm
  • Raspberry pi zero flex cable 15cm (the included cable does not fit for the zero)
  • SD card
  • Some screws (6 small screws to connect the cam and the Raspi to the mounting rack, 4 screws 11 - 14mm for the housing)

I used the infill trick for the bottom part with a 30% honeycomb infill.
As usual, you will find the blender files to adjust it to your needs.

I'm curious about your color selection. Share your prints, and let me know if you have any suggestions or additional ideas.

Print instructions

I used the Prusa jet black and chalky blue PETG filament.
For the top part, i used the powder coated sheet and added a brim, but i'm not sure if it's necessary.
