Update: Added an additional gantry plate mount that has deeper magnet holes. The file is labeled located in the Version 2 folder.
This mount attempts to prevent damage to the probe pin and sensor when unexpected events happen.
Assembly
- When installing ensure that all blobs, seams, and strings are removed from the mating surfaces between printed parts. Depending on your layer height, you may need to shave the magnet slots for a tight fit.
- Once you are sure the magnets will fit, arrange them in a N-S-N one part and S-N-S pole orientation on the other. This as close to a halbach array you can get with 3 magnets. Use super glue if the magnets will not stay in place.
- Attach gantry adapter plate to the gantry plate. The top screw hole is recessed and requires that the m3 bolt be completely within that recess to ensure proper magnet alignment.
- Attach BLTouch probe to the Probe Mount part.
- Attach BLTouch cable.
- Snap into the two parts together and ensure there are no visible gaps by applying some pressure.
- Adjust of the Probe Z offset.
Hardware Needed
- Six 6x2 neodymium round magnets
Print Settings
- Material:PETG (PLA may work better)
- Nozzle: 0.6mm
- Infill: 100%
- No supports
Everything works the same as remixed model which was for a Microswiss NG extruder on an Ender 5 Plus so reference that for further information.
