(Continued summary) This paperclip can be utilized to hold paper together, but also as a lone decoration. The original dimensions were small of the ghost clip were 6.5 cm x 3 cm, which was traced onto graph paper, but the size was later doubled to 13 cm x 6 cm for convenience. We transferred our drawing from the graph paper onto solid works where we sketched an identical 2D model to our partners, then extruded the model to be 3D and made it unique to us by adding our initials.

Problem Statement: With a partner, you will recreate your ghost clip using Solidworks. You and your partner MUST have identical files that you create by collaborating on each step, one at a time.
Instructions to make the Ghost Clip (pictures included)
1. Create a 13 by 6 rectangle centered on the origin with reference lines from midpoints.
2. Make a line towards the top of the rectangle for the semicircles
4. Create 2 midpoint on the line to separate the four circles
5. Make a construction line at the bottom of the rectangle for the triangles
6. Place a midpoint at 1.5 cm and another at 3 cm at the bottom of the constraint box and connect the points the create the triangles
7. Create a circle based off your measurements from the distance between the semicircles
8. Size the circle correctly and use your measurements to lock it in place off of the sides
9. With relation to the circle, create the outside line of the mouth
10. 0.7 cm off of the outside line, create the inside line. Create a half circle to connect the two points and make sure the height of the half circle plus the outside line equals 4.7 cm.
11. Connect the slanted lines of the mouth to the centerline. Edit the length of the line so that the angle corresponds to the model.
12. Mirror your drawing with reference to the centerline.
13. Extrude ghost
15. Engrave Ghost
Changes made in the design process:
Originally, our idea to design this ghost was to design one half of the ghost using a constraint box of 13cm x 3 cm, then mirror the design to the other side. After convening with Mr. T, we realized that's not necessary for solid work. We also attempted to make the mouth first using relations to the triangles on the bottom and make spheres for the eyes based off the mouth, but that also didn't work. We realized making the eyes first using relations off the semi circles, then making the mouth off of the spheres is easier. After messing with relations and measurements we finally found the right method of sketching the ghost with the correct sizing.
