First and foremost, these designs are not my own. I am uploading them with permission from the creator, Scott from The Edge of 3D, and under the same license. He designed and tested this car in just a few months for the very first Rock Mountain Rep Rap Festival in 2023.
The main purpose of uploading these models here is to give us all a place to share and organize our remixes. Be sure to check the current rules before building and remixing your own car. As of this posting, the current rules can be found on the PolyMaker Discord
Currently, this is still a very new thing and everything is being organized. Most of us are talking on the PM discord but this is the official Facebook page and I suspect that the most current set of rules will be kept up to date there in the near future. I will do my best to keep the information in this description up to date and accurate.
Before printing your racer, I encourage you to look through remixes and see if someone has posted a part you would rather use. I cannot guarantee that remixed parts will conform to rules so always check the current rules before printing.
The next race will be held at MRRF 2023 and you can find information on that event in this video. Be sure to browse through all of Scotts videos for assembly instructions and if you need any more help feel free to ask me or any of us in the PolyMaker discord.
If you print the official PolyMaker side panels then you don't need to print the blank ones in the body components folder. You only need to use the PM side panels if you intend to take advantage of the free filament offer from PolyMaker. These panels can be printed on a single color machine such as an ender 3 by following Scott's tutorial.
Tires are available in either a 1 or 2 piece configuration and are also available in wide and narrow options. You only need two of which ever option you decide to go with.
The servo saver components are still a work in progress and have not been successfully implemented yet.
Everything is designed to fit on an Ender 3 but the frame and body are also available as single parts that can be printed on a belt printer.
Parts marked X1 only need to be printed once and parts marked X2 need to be printed twice.
UPDATE 07/08/23:
Rules are being stored and updated here. This is the original designers Google Driver and any changes or additions he makes are currently being stored there.
I have also added a new folder with files for the direct drive system that Scott designed. This system will allow you to build the car without relying on long lead items from ali-express.
UPDATE 07/10/23:
New safety spoiler added. Designed to help keep car on the track with the new side walls that will be used at future events. Organizers prefer it printed from 95a TPU.
UPDATE 07/17/23:
The new safety spoiler is now required at ERRF and must be printed from 95a or softer TPU.
