So I got this very handy Makita DRT50, but the Festool vacuum doesn't fit to it without an adapter. Here it is :-)

Update January 2025

Just a minor update after some feedbacks about a loose fit.
It's easy to swap on purpose, but maybe it really was a little to dependent on the seam the old printer made. 😅

Anyways here's a slightly tighter version with 0,2 mm less gap on the Makita side.
It's the V2, old one is still available as V1. 🖖

So I got this very handy Makita DRT50 but the Festool vacuum doesn't fit to it without an adapter.

I coudn't find printing files when researching some so as always we just have to make some ourselves.

The adapter slides on the inside an outside over the Makita exhaust. The Festool vacuum goes inside the other end of the adapter. Please make sure your Festool vacuum has an end diameter of 36 mm as it is here in the pictures.

As far as I found out the Makita exhaust for the DRT50 and RT0700 should be the same and so the adapter works for both.

But feel free to ask if you need any help.

Here's the article about it's creation (or straight at heise) and also a linked video on how to do it yourself.
