PrusaSlicer profiles made specifically for Sovol SV06 Plus (SV06+) 3D printer, to make the most of its size, speed and accuracy.
Version 1.10 update: profile for SV06 (non-Plus) also included - based on Prusa MK3.
The profiles are based on Prusa MK4 and MK3 profiles, which enables use of Prusa system print and filament presets. MK4 based profile is using Marlin 2 G-code flavor and it is generally faster without any visible quality degradation (3DBenchy on the attached picture was printed on SV06+ using MK4 based profile, Spectrum PLA + 0.20mm SPEED system presets).
To use the SV06/Plus profiles first select Original Prusa MK4 & i3 MK3S/MK3S+ (0.4mm nozzle) printers (using the Configuration Wizard). Then simply import the bundle file into PrusaSlicer:
New “MAK” printers will appear as user presets:
For SV06+ I suggest choosing MK4 based one, as it uses Marlin 2 and allows to select faster print and filament Prusa presets.
You may also want to add a physical printer, i.e. if you utilize OctoPrint or similar system:
Settings are inherited, so first goes MK3/MK4 system profiles, then MAK user profiles, to finally end up on physical printer profile (which only determines a connection to your printer, other than copying G-code via SD card). If you deliver your prints via SD card there is no need to define physical printer.
After importing profiles you can select Prusa filament system presets. Select them for MK3 or MK4 respectively (or for All). Selected presets will automatically become available for Sovol SV06 Plus user profiles.
Prusa system print presets will become available without any interaction.
PrusaSlicer offers coverage of many popular filament brands like eSun, Amazon, Devil Design, Spectrum, Polymaker, Verbatim, ColorFabb, etc. + of course generic profiles. Both print and filament Prusa system presets are ready to use, or at least offer good start for further tweaking.
THAT IS ALL, ENJOY! :-)
Many STL models will not need z-lift, so you can consider setting it to 0 (zero), as it will speed up the printing time for models with many retractions.
Positive Lift-Z may be however safer for models with many small parts and many hops between them (preventing nozzle from touching the model when moving, as the nozzle is lifted up momentarily).
The provided profiles were tested and worked well for me. However there is no guarantee or liability provided. Use at your own risk.
