MMU2S Ikea Drybox made by Jindřich Beneš is great.
But why only for MMU2 users.. I don't have one (yet)
So I printed one and find some things I want to do better such as the bearing, they are relatively expensive to the whole printed model, so I want them to work properly. I made the center a little bigger and outer bearing ring is not touching base anymore. Also I freed-up some space so the bearings can spin freely.
Then I liked the octagons from the Prusa spools and put them in this remix of his design. Also with this remix less filament and less printing time is needed compaired to original. Approx. 15h. against 30h.
Only parts not changed are the ones needed for filament through wall of SAMLA box. But I have inserted them in this package too.
So we have 3 spools in one samla box of size 39x38x38cm, also you dont have to disassemble anything to change the spools. Just take out he empty spool and replace it with al full one and put the filament through hole.
On the Samla_adjustable_base_90/105 you slide the bearing holders.
NOTE: Tolerance is tidy but it fits, and you don't want the width of the spoolholders to change during prints.
You can place 2x Silica_tray_105 (mm) and 1x of Silica_tray_90 (mm) in one Samla box if you put them on the stand-off.
Then place the Samla_adjustable_base_105 and _90 with the bearing holders in the trays with biggest flat on exit filament side.
If you want to hang your SAMLA Spoolholder above your printer you can use this: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/47924-ikea-samla-wall-holder-28cm
For bearing I used the 608zz bearings.
Update v2: (15-02-2021)
-SAMLA_base_bearing replaced by:
-SAMLA_base_bearing_V2
-SAMLA_cover_bearing_V2
gcode:
-SAMLA Spoolholders_0.2mm_PLA_MK3S_5h38m replaced by:
-SAMLA Spoolholders_V2_0.2mm_PLA_MK3S_5h38m
-SAMLA_cover_bearing_v2_0.2mm_PLA_MK3S_1h29m
After comments changed the way cover snaps on base, now even possible to unsnap. Only base changed.
I have printed this with Prusament PLA.
Most of the parts 0.2 layer height and 15% infill
Only tray and stand-off I did with 0.3 layer height and 15% infill, also I used A modifier to make a hole. This all because it reduces print time with 4 hours, and they look awesome.
You can find this all in the .3mf files attached.
For bearing I used the 608zz bearings
Happy printing!
