This is a remake of the "Ender 3 Filament Roller Guide" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052488).
As I use dry boxes stood next to the printer day to day, and the occasional roll of material I dig out of a cupboard on a side mounted spool holder, I needed something that could wrangle filament coming at it from different angles.
I appreciate there are hundreds of these filament guides already available - this was just my attempt back when I started my 3D printing journey. It was also an opportunity to try out Fusion360.
You'll need to print the following:
1x Bracket Mount
1x Bracket Plate
2x Roller
4x Spacer
You'll also need some hardware:
2x M4 (20mm) Screws
2x M4 Screw nuts
2x 608 Bearings
With regards to the bearings, as they are designed for heavier loads, I tend now to pop off the dust covers and remove the grease with a biodegradable bicycle chain cleaner and degreaser spray, or just warm soapy water and an old tooth brush. Remember to dry them throughly. A small amount of spray lubricant (WD40) will evacuate any remaining water and prevent rust. It also makes them spin effortlessly.
