First of many little coffee projects of mine, the flow control disk for Varia VS3 coffee grinder. Simple upgrade, nothing more.
It regulates the flow of beans into the grinder (ensures a better grind distribution), reduces “popcorning” and also reduces the stress on the grinder motor itself.
Layer height: 0.15
Perimeters: 2 (or more, you do you)
PETG for stronger and less brittle prints
Pro barista tip
If you fuse your brand-new 3D printed flow control disk with already included anti popcorning rubber thing, it creates this anti-popcorning flow control beast of a moded machine (as shown in the last picture).
This allows you to directly feed your coffee in an already turned on machine, since the two components kill the popcorning issue. That also greatly helps with more even grind disttribution and longevity of your machine. Neat!
Did you come up with a different design? Remix! Or send me a message. Lets create the best design for this machine!
Even if the license forbids this I agree if you show this model to your audience in a video etc. Only selling the files or the physical model is prohibited.
