Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia!

This model was created by Dany SΓ‘nchez, provided in different versions to allow for multipart printing in separate colors, and a lamp version to include a LED tea light. MMU can also be attempted.

The Independence Monument was built in 1958 to memorialize Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. It is 37m (121 ft) tall and it was designed by Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann by royal command. It is located on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the center of the city. It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, of the style seen at the Khmer temple at Banteay Srei and other historical sites (from Wikipedia).

MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this model to life as a homage to all the people of Cambodia. This model was created from scratch by hand and brain in parametric software to ensure printability, using photographs and blueprints to create a beautiful and stylized version of your favorite landmarks. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture!

Printing Tips

All models are support-free, except the base lamp.

A regular LED tea light can be used, but must be stripped of the plastic encasing.

The base can be printed in marble, and the top in burgundy.

We also provide an all-fused, single model version.

Suggested parameters:

For better details, print slow, such as 20 or 15mm/s for outer perimeters, you can slow down even more to print correctly.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: low, 12% or less is ok
