I've needed to open up my Lava Lite Grande lamps from time to time due to different issues (cloudiness, dull flow, completely redoing their contents etc.) and that had proven to be an issue because of how the cap is made. The problem is when you are done with the lamp and want to seal it back up and might need to do some more work later. Its a right pain in the*** to have to seal the cap everytime. Therefore i made this, to part thread pieces which you screw together along the neck of the lamp, and a screw cap that can be easily taken off and on again.

Nuts and Bolts: 4M Nuts are used

Notes:

I highly recommend using something with a higher temperature resistance than PLA. My own prints have been done in PLA for testing, but I've noticed that the top of the cap will bulge over time due to the pressure inside the globe along with it being softer from the temperature. ABS / ASA should do i think, but haven't tried it yet. Due to this I've marked this as a Work-In-Progreess item
