Warnings at the top so you read them:

  • When this adapter is installed, the child-resistance of the cap is totally compromised.  Your kid will have no difficulty unscrewing it.  Keep the bottle well out of reach.
  • This thing isn't great from a food safety perspective.  Prusa has a great post about food safety. In particular, there are concerns here with microbes growing in the grooves between layers, and substances leaching out of the filament into the medicine.  Choose the risks you find acceptable.
  • Confirm the concentration you're giving your kid is what you expect.  In my particular market, the bottles we found had the same concentration between infant's tylenol and children's tylenol.  I have no idea if that's true everywhere - check it yourself.

This design is provided as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied.  Use at your own risk.

Anyway, about the design:

A while back, it was hard to find Tylenol.  Often we could get children's tylenol but not infant's tylenol.  They came in the same concentration, the only difference was the packaging.  And the packaging of children's tylenol was difficult to use with our toddler - we had to use the syringe, and you can't put the syringe directly into the top of the children's tylenol bottle like you can with the infant's tylenol.  This adapter fixes that: you can screw this onto a children's tylenol bottle, and put the syringe from infant's tylenol into the top of this adapter to fill it up.

Two sizes are provided:

  • “tylenol adapter.stl” is sized for a brand-name children's tylenol bottle.
  • “tylenol bactimicina adapter.stl” is sized for a generic tylenol brand under the name “bactimicina”.

Prints without supports if you put it with the “female” thread end upward and the syringe hole downward.
