GEEETECH PRUSA I3 PRO B BOWDEN UPGRADE PACK

I have owned my Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro B since November 2017 and have slowly been modifying it to improve print quality ever since. I have decided to combine all the parts into one complete package. So lets start at the top.

LH Z AXIS TOP PLATE: This is a direct copy of the Geeetech item with the hole for the M8 or T8 rod opened out to 15mm to allow for any bend in the rod or misalignment, you may find the hole for the 8mm smooth rod is slightly too small, if that is the case it can be gently opened out with a file to give a nice firm fit.

BOWDEN EXTRUDER TOP PLATE RHS: This is the same as LH Z AXIS TOP PLATE with an added mount to allow the fitting of an all metal extruder. I used https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extruder-Upgrade-Kit-Aluminium-for-All-MK8-Type-3D-Printers-reprap-/401523976905

ANTI WOBBLE T8 NUT MOUNT: Is a anti wobble adaptor, there are many like it but this one is mine.

BOWDEN HOTEND CLAMP & BOWDEN HOTEND MOUNT: Are to allow you to fit a E3D V6 J Head type hot end to the Geeetech carriage. I used an £8 one from eBay You should find that the BOWDEN HOTEND MOUNT sits tight against the lower clamp screws for the top LM8LUU bearing, this is normal it is designed like this to ensure the part is mounted level.

FAN DUCT FOR 50mm FAN: Does what it says on the tin. You will find it sits tight up against the wires for the hotend. i had to change to a Mk8 type nozzle instead of the E3D style one to give a bit more clearance.

Y AXIS STEPPER MOTOR BRACKET: The stock Geeetech motor mounts tend to be cut at an angle causing the motor to not sight straight. This part will rectify the issue.

LCD SCREEN MOUNTS AND SURROUND: These will enable you to move the LCD screen to the bottom front of the printer. NOTE: they will ONLY work if used along side Anti-vibration feet V2 for GEEETech i3 Pro B with 8mm acrylic frame https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2476818 The straight LCD screen mounts do hit on the X-Axis bearing mounts if you need to go past 190mm of travel use the stepped ones.

I have also included a bracket to allow you to fit Geeetech i3 Pro B Cooling Fan Duct, 40mm holes (50mm fan) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2416885 This is a very effective fan duct. A 40mm & 50mm fan cover and an adaptor to allow a 40mm fan to be fitted to a 50mm fan Duct.

16/09/2018 UPDATE!

I have scrapped my GEEETech I3 Pro B and am using some of the components for a custom built printer based around an Orballo P3 Steel frame and an E3D Titan Aero extruder so I will not be doing any more work on this thing. I have added the .RSDOC files so if you get RS Components Design Spark Mechanical you can make your own improvements or modifications.

The hot end mount, RH top plate / extruder mount and stepped LCD mounts do require supports. The rest of the parts are fine without.
