This is a simple plate I designed to allow the use of two 50x15mm blower fans in place of the single 40mm fan used in the volcano cooler published by AK_Eric.

This is truly overkill. When I run the fans at full power, my volcano can't stay at temperature, even with insulation. The first time I tried it out my printer stopped extruding halfway through the first layer with cooling because the temperature of the hotend dropped below the "safe extrude" window. I've been running it at 10-25% for an open printer, but I designed this for printing in an enclosure.

On a D-Bot, the fans need to be oriented horizontally, with one blower drawing air up from above the heatbed and one drawing air down. You could theoretically put in a switch to change the source of air (E.G. to use warm air for cooling ABS parts or cool air for PLA), but I have both fans wired in parallel.

I printed mine to have a snug enough fit to hold the fans in position with friction alone, but decided to put a bit of super glue on to seal the deal. Your results may vary.

This should fit any 40mm fan that needs more power. WAY more power.
