hippo house box

a remix i did as a friend liked the original House Hippo model by CXAMIN and asked me if i could make it so the roof could come off and put stuff inside ..

so i agreed .. ;)

How I Designed This ===================

first i uploaded the main stl into meshmixer and separated the shells as to make the cut in the roof then resized the four hippo parts so the roof could be removed.

then modelled (again in meshmixer) the inside box and the two tabs onto the box part of the base.. as to locate and hold the roof onto the model .

then saved the parts as stl and back to my weapon of choice ( cinema 4D) to tweak the detail in parts that needed it .. ( like the windows /brick work and roof tiles ect )

the whole process took about a week as im still not quite an expert in modelling lol

i have included the two seperate parts in C4D format if anybody else owns this awesome program as this was my milestone into 3d way before i owned a printer :)
