Updated version with integrated silica tray
@ls6_534717 made an awesome Vasemode Silica tray to put in the free space in the middle:
Silica container for Sistema drybox roller (vase mode)
IMPORTANT PRINT SETTING:
Use randomized seam for the Rollers because an aligned seam would create a line where the Filament roll can get stuck on.
I recommend quickly sanding down the little blobs from Random seam, but its not necessary.
Notes:
Last version had concave rollers which turned out to be bad for smooth rolling.
New Version uses non concave/ flat rollers with a little rim to stop the filament from rolling of and a bigger roller diameter.
Now its rolling super smooth
Small demo:
After finding out about the Sistema KLIP IT 5L Box (can be bought on amazon) which is perfectly suited for slightly bigger filament spools i was on the search for some fitting Spoolholders.
I see alot of people use the TUSH Spoolholder inside that box, but i didnt like the idea of having two seperate parts that have to be positioned perfectly before setting the spool on top.
Then i found this model
which inspired me to make my own roller which perfectly fits the Sistema Klip it box.
Requirements for the design were:
To assemble this you need 4 Skateboard bearings (608 Bearing)
Assembly is just placing all the Stubs/Dowles in the Rollers, adding the Bearing spacer, and then the bearing on top.
Depending on how good your Flow is tuned it could be a little hard putting the stubs into the rollers.
STEP Included if you'd like to make some changes :)
I recommend 0.3mm Layerheight for faster printing, but not special settings have to be made.
I use these glue on feet for the box
And this for Filament passthrough
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
