Dune Magnetic Faction Tray

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS:

• No supports is needed.
• Increase Six and Eight Faction Holders print size by 1% or 2 % for best fit.

The magnets on the box were mostly friction fitted. I only had to glue six of the magnets in place.

I will post more pictures as soon as I am done printing the inserts.

OVERVIEW:

Designed this magnetic faction holder for the GaleForceNine print of the classic Dune board game to use in home games. It was inspired by Deemended's Catan Resource Holder Tray set.

I've included a six-faction holder and eight-faction holder depending on whether you have the expansion pack (Ixians & Tleilaxu).

I am in process of printing the complete set, but I based all measurements off of several prototype holders to ensure proper fit. I will update as I finish my print.

PRINTING:

I designed and modelled parts to print support free and to use 1mm x 6mm rare earth magnets.

I have been printing with a skirt, at standard quality with a 50% infill (standard settings on Dremel Printcloud)
