Stack-On gun cabinets come with plastic mounts to support and separate rifles and shotguns being stored in the cabinet. The mounts are an appropriate height for an un-scoped gun but if a scope is mounted it hits the cabinet wall before the gun is supported in the mount.
Stack-On provides a very limited number of mount support extenders or standoffs with each cabinet (differs by cabinet model) and while additional standoffs can be ordered with some difficulty, they are not cheap and take some time to be delivered.
Since almost every rifle I own has a scope, I purchased some extras but found over time I needed even more. Instead of going through the hassle of ordering more standoffs, I reverse engineered the standoff using Fusion 360 and have included the design file as well as the 3D model. My design is a little longer to provide a little more scope clearance. I included a picture of the Stack-On design and my design side-by-side to show the differences.
The standoff is attached to the mount using a ½" of ¾" #8 sheet metal screw in the hole provided in the mount.
