Version 3- new, even bigger and better cyclone dust separator!

  • This is still a beta! thou it is fully functional! Assembly info and such will be added later, newer versions of the top cap may get uploaded

** note- will need a 300mm build printer or larger, or can split up yourself for smaller printers**

  • new cone design with small lips in tops for aid in alignment
  • larger for more time to get dust spun out
  • Broken up into six, approximately 10-12 hour prints!

Still sorta beta testing, but results so far have been impressive! Guessing here, but Version 2 I'd say did around 80-90% removal where this is easily pushing into the upper 90%'s, very little is getting past!

Items to note -

  • Flip TopCap 180º and set Outlet Tube with the shorter section from bump down to the build plate to print with least amount of supports! Final versions I will try to remember to do that before export to file
  • 3D Printing isn't water or air tight! paint/coat the OUTSIDE to seal. if you coat the inside, the vacuum force can peel? also the materials may just wear away the coating. (I actually did both, inside only to smooth out the layer lines a tad)
  • Attaching parts- any decent glue that has some filling ability should be fine, Hot Glue believe it or not is about best I've found for this , caulk, may be a 3D Pen would be even better than Hot glue?,  CA glue is OK, but, will likely need to be reinforced and sealed at the seams with something.
  • Most of the parts fit snuggly, EXCEPT the inlet tube to the Top Cap!  This connection you will likely need to fill & seal depending on how well your printer does supports. (3D Pen would likely work great here!, I used Hot glue and had to apply a 2nd layer)
