I created this assembly for my Sonic Pad. After adding sides to my printer, I needed a new way to mount my Sonic Pad and get it off my work bench. I wanted it to rotate out of the way when not in use. I found these hinges and modified them to work with my design. https://www.printables.com/model/105612-geared-hinge
You print everything upright like it's to be installed except for the pair of hinge pins. Those have a flat on them and you print them with the flat side down..
I printed everything with a .04 nozzle at .2mm layers with 20% infill. I was told it prints just fine at .28mm if you want to speed up the print time.
You will need to print two hinge pins, one for the top and one for the bottom. Inserting the pins into the gears takes a firm press to seat.
I attach the assembly to the frame of my Ender 5 S1 with (2) M4 T slot nuts and (2) M4 10mm socket head cap screws.
In the print models there is a right side mount and a left side mount depending on which side of the printer you want to mount it.
The author remixed this model.
I modified the hinge area and filled in the hole to make for a better print.
