This germination setup consists of a reservoir which can hold water or a hydroponic nutrient solution, and six connected containers which hold the growing medium in which seeds can be germinated.
I designed this model to conveniently germinate seeds on 5cm by 5cm rockwool cubes, without the setup taking up too much space. After the sprouts have grown large enough, the rockwool cubes can be taken out and put into 5cm net cups.
I realised that, when using growing media such as perlite, the grains would likely fall out through the holes in the bottom. I therefore added a second model with a kind of mesh in the bottom instead of a large hole.
For the reservoir to be watertight, it should be printed solid. The model can be printed without added supports.
The walls might be thicker than necessary for the reservoir to be watertight. For the people who might want to change the dimensions of the model, I added two .f3d files which can be edited in Fusion 360.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
