Mobile Phone Stand: Compact, Foldable, Print-in-Place

Printing

• Prototyped on a Prusa i3 MK3S(+)
• Sliced in PrusaSlicer 2.5.2
• PLA 1.75mm filament
• 0.2mm layer height
• 0.4mm nozzle

After Printing

• Gently ease the top of the stand up from the frame to disengage it from the retaining lip
• Raise the stand up about 80 degrees; it won't go all the way to vertical so try not to force it
• Gently ease the legs away from the stands, separating the the crossbar from the stand and allowing the pins to travel along the guides in the frame
• Once the legs travel all the way to the end of the frame, open and close the stand a few times to loosen up the pins embedded between the top of the legs and the stand

Use

• Open the stand
• Place the pin legs against the stops along the guides to set the desired angle
• Rest phone on the stand in the retaining groove
• (optional) Place stand on the edge of a table to plug in a USB cable when phone is in vertical/portrait orientation
