EDIT 23.01.2024 - Added “Test parts” folder that contains improved files that I have been testing while working on the next release version - these are parts that fit beta version but will be a bit different for the next release or have been made for temporary fixes.

          ENDER 3 NG beta - coreXY conversion

This printer is currently released in beta v1.1, it has been printed, used and tested thoroughly and there are already few printers finished and many being built out in the world, but keep in mind that it is still a beta which means, there are some rather small imperfections.

The project is being prepared for it's final release which means that I am gathering feedback, refurbishing and optimizing the design and as a final release, there will be changes to the parts, BOM and manual, but everything will still be compatible with current release so if you build it now, you don't need to worry that your printer will be incompatible with future updates.

 Also, there are many printed parts which may affect the final product according to the quality and precision of your prints – If you have poor quality prints, please don’t blame me in the first place. 

   PRINTER OVERVIEW 

This project is a DIY conversion based on Ender 3 Pro. Ender 3 is one of the most sold printers but it is a starting printer so many want to move forward after using it for some time and don’t have much use for it anymore. 

Main goal was to use as many useful parts from stock Ender as possible while making a very reliable printer with many great features and possible upgrades. This means that you can rebuild the printer with some effort very cheap and get very capable coreXY machine but also that you can do many upgrades to get almost high-end printer capable of printing fast and high quality. 

   FEATURES: 

• Build volume: 235 x 235 x 245 mm. 
• Printer size (W x L x H): 407 x 432 x 413 mm. 
• Compatible with Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2 and working on other similar printers.
• CoreXY motion system. 
• Frame build with Ender 3 Pro aluminium extrusions (and two printed beams). 
• Supports stock stepper motors, hotend, PSU, motherboard (32bit), bed, screen, extruder and more. 
• Linear rods for X, Y and Z motion system. 
• Triple leadscrew for Z movement, belt connected with 1x NEMA17 stepper. 
• Bed carriage with integrated anti Z wobble system. 
• Enclosed electronics on the back of the printer. 
• DIN rails in electronics compartment for easy organization. 
• Optimized shape for enclosing the printer in future (will be released soon). 
• Toolhead compatibility with majority of hotends and direct drive extruders. Volcano and Dragon UHF will come soon.
• Toolhead with dual 4020 fans for optimal cooling. 
• Klicky probe for bed mesh levelling or Z endstop. 
• Space behind the bed ready for more upgrades – nozzle brush, purge bucket etc. 
• LED lights. 
• Files are designed for easy printability and functionality. 

FUTURE UPGRADES: 

• Enclosure with fan under the bed for faster heating and equalizing the chamber temperature. 
• Individual stepper motors for each Z-axis leadscrew. 
• Mounts for Nevermore air filtering. 
• Cooling for XY stepper motors to get more power from them. 
• LED lights. 
• Support for other similar printers. 
• Support for more hotends and extruders. 
• Support for more toolheads.

EDIT 23.12.2023 - Updated LGX extruder mounts. Added internal spool roller files into the optional folder. (You will need to print: 1xSPO1, 1xSPO2, 2xSPO3, 2xSPO4, 2xSPO5. Hardware needed: 4x6082RS, 4x M3x12, 2xM3x20, 2xM3 heat insert, 3xM4x8, 3xM4 T-nut.)

EDIT 18.10.2023 - New bed carriage! Now using stock Ender 3 pro alu bed plate for better rigidity, stability, less used filament and less wasted parts. Previous bed carriage is still a good option as well. More info and pictures coming in the updated manual.

EDIT 02.09.2023 - Added ENG-ZBI.stl to fit 1140 mm belt without issues now. Added ENG-PSUE3.stl for mounting 50mm thick PSU, added 2040 mods with different lengths of the extrusion.
