Venturi aerator v3.0
Description:
My original part (shown on cover image with red arrow over it) broke so I created replacement which I am sharing for anybody in need of the same thing.
Atman AT-F301 water filters are really good for small aquariums and it would be a waste to replace it because of this small part fail.
I've included SCAD file for easy modifications if needed.
Changelog:
v3 (03/03/24):
- better aeration and water flow
- expanded low pressure constriction from 1.5mm to 2.2mm to move more water
- added cone to output cavity to mirror input cavity
- air intake expanded radius
- air intake pipe has an angle to better capture bubbles
- updated name
v2 (way back in time):
- Fixed issue with tolerances and inner notch, which is responsible for air bubbles.
- Added support for side pipe - easy to remove.
- OpenSCAD file is well commented now.
Printing instructions:
- Material: PLA or PETG (most likely any water resistant material would work)
- Layer height: 0.2 or less (my recommendation is 0.12mm layer height)
- Nozzle size: 0.4 - 0.6 (my current nozzle is 0.5 and it prints it well with Arachne perimeter generator)
- Supports: not needed in slicer, they are included in the STL from v2. Possible you'll need small brim to keep it firmly on bed (with well tuned first layer, you can print it without brim). Included support can be removed easily with paper/utility knife.
- Seam position: Please use Random, it will not look as representative, but it will stay dimensionally correct and will prevent any gaps.
