This custom PSU case for the Ender 3 replaces the stock case and adds a place to mount a 3v relay, and a separate attached enclosure to mount a Rasperry Pi 3. The enclosure has a lid that slides on an off easily to access the PI. In addition, there are opens for all ports on the PI, and the SD Card can be accessed with out removing the lid. There's also a hole in the front to view the LEDs of the PI.
Note: This is designed for the stock PSU on the original Ender 3, and not the slimmer Mean Well PSU on the Ender 3 Pro.
Printing
This is designed to be printed with out supports. See the photo of the completed print for the correct orientation if it's not obvious. I had better luck printing the lid with a brim due to the long skinny parts.
Additional Parts Needed
The goal was to be able to turn the PSU on and off remotely with the PSU Control plugin for OctoPrint. However, I still wanted to be able to bypass this relay and turn the printer on directly if needed. So I replaced the stock SPST switch with this SPDT rocker switch. One position routes power directly to the PSU, the other through the relay.
I used this Yongneer 3v relay modules off amazon since the GPIO pins on the PI are 3v
