This is a magnetically mounted air duct with a 90-degree bend to vent bad air to the outside. Made to be used with a cheap plastic dryer vent tube typically found in the United States. This was designed to be used with magnets sourced from Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Y8N5B41/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I printed with the following settings:
1.2mm wall thickness
0.4mm nozzle
0.2 layer height
Tree support on bed only
PLA used
I printed using the Bambu Labs X1 Carbon using standard speed.
Use a smooth build surface, as the course plate surface is not recommended as it may produce air leaks. I had planned to glue tick cotton paper to the base of the air duct to act as an air seal, but so far I have not found that to be needed.
As long as the air is ducted to the outside, remove the carbon filter from inside the printer to get adequate airflow.
I've also included a test piece to verify if the magnets you use will work.
Update: 2023-May-21
The preprinted outside diameter of the duct where a hose slips on is 101.6mm. I've added a test ring so you can print to get the final diameter post print or to use to take to the store to match to a hose. I recommend using a vinyl dryer vent hose as it will stretch to fit over the duct and no clamps will be needed.
