If you want to achieve something you have to do it regularly. Be it working out, getting enough sleep, playing an instrument, or designing a model for a weekly contest. Sometimes it's complicated to keep the pace, and sometimes you just have to much on your plate. This is why I designed Persist-o-meter — a tactile goal practice dashboard powered by magnets. With it you can visualize if you practiced towards a goal of yours every day in the week and reason whether you can do better or if you should change the plan. (Originally I designed this to track out common goals of a family with 2 kids).
The design uses cylindrical magnets (diameter: 6mm, height 3mm) and you will need around 50 of them to make a realistic use of it. To attach the table stand you need two 10mm M3 screws.
All the parts are designed to be printed with 0.2mm layer height and use pausing to embed magnets, or change colors. I suggest you to use a special g-code to pause the printer for magnet insertion, but it requires OctoPrint to resume printing; see more here: https://youtu.be/uETtXw9yGMo.
Pause at the layer 4.40mm to insert all the magnets.
Then do a color change at 6.20mm to have visible weekday names. In addition the Persist-o-meter text is 0.2mm higher then everything else, so you can add a color change on the last layer to have the text in special color.
Tokens needs a pause at 3.6mm to insert magnets (! make sure the orientation is the same as the magnets in the main plate, otherwise they won't attach). In addition, a color change at 5.4mm will give you a nice style. You may want to have several “special” tokens to mark the events when you over-did a goal.
Goal Plates
Goal plates are designed to be swappable. Maybe you don't have all 5 goals in mind at the moment, maybe you want to change something in a couple of months or just re-arrange them. In my opinion it's wasteful to re-print the whole plate, especially as it uses many magnets. I provide a plain plate where you can simply write with a marker, but of course it's more fun to add extruded text and to a color change. PrusaSlicer 2.6 makes adding test very easy.
! Please let me know if the tolerances on the goal plates work for you. I played a lot with them, but I have just one printer to test.
