1.21 Gigawatts should be plenty of power for any printer.
You can use the grille with or without the insert ring. I had tried a color change to get the same effect, but I wasn't crazy how the outside of the grille looked with the color band showing. The insert is a pressure fit but feel free to use some CA glue if you're worried about it popping out.
