Covers and Sleeves for Metal Containers

Liquids like paints and primers often come in metal containers that are prone to corrosion and gathering dust.

Lids

Top covers should help avoid evaporation in case the lid wasn't properly put back on, as well as protect surrounding areas from fumes that may keep coming from any leftovers or drops.  On top of that, dust and other particles may accumulate over time, which could contaminate your work when you open the can and start pouring and mixing its contents.

Boots

Bottom gaskets are aimed to protect cans from salt and moisture that can corrode metal from the bottom.  Should also help avoid leaving scratches on tables, prevent containers from leaving rusty spots.

How to print

Use flexible material like TPU, 100% infill.  Scale to 99.9–99% for tighter fit.  Translucent filaments could help spot rust more easily.
