I love print-in-place (no assembly required) and snap-fit designs. They can be a bit more challenging to design, but I think really can show ogg what 3d printing can do.
I needed a case that I liked for my Raspberry Pi Zero W 2, so I designed one. I also wanted to allow for better air flow so wanted to add screened panels on the side.
So I figured out a way using PrusaSlicer to add custom screened panels using fill patterns.
Use the frame model and add boxes. Scale to fit. Then add custom infills without top and bottom layers.
The makes shown in the photos were on a Dismay DC01 (Ender 3 clone) with a 0.6mm nozzle in PETG.
My favorite fill patterns for the screens are honeycomb and triangles.
