One of the internal “ears” on the latch of my pet gate broke, meaning the push button on that side of the gate could no longer be used to slide the latch open.
This model was designed for the “top paw” brand Hands Free Walk Thru Pet Gate, UPC: 37257 61117, but it may work with other gates if the latch mechanism is the same size. I included the OpenSCAD program I wrote to generate the part, in case someone needs to customize it to fit their gate.
Use PrusaSlicer with the attached .3mf or .gcode for my custom slicer options, modifiers, and bridging options for it to print very strong, and with as few supports as possible. Print in the orientation it appears in the .3mf file. The entire top surface can print as a bridge with no supports under it. The snug supports can all be popped off easily with your hand and/or the tip of a zip tie. There is a modifier slab that temporarily overrides the number of perimeters (from 6 to 1) for the layer that includes the top bridge and the layer directly above that.
I used painted on supports for all overhangs except the very top of the square tube can be bridged with these settings:
