I wanted an embedded magnet filament filter to avoid using mechanical locks but couldn't find it so I designed my own.
Needs to be paused either manually or through script in the slicer to put in the 6x2mm neodymium magnets With a drop of superglue. Simple print overall and shouldn't take more than 1:20 hours to make both pieces. I printed mine on 0.28mm layer height and needed to pause at layer 51 but this varies if you change layer height so double check before you print.
It takes up to 8 round neodymium magnets 6x2mm with both parts. Filter medium could be anything lint-free. I chose to use kitchen sponge material.
The filter parts are symmetrical meaning you just have to print the one STL twice to complete the filter.
I made the holes for filament to pass on either side 5mm in diameter to make sure both 1.75mm and 3mm filament could use this design.
I made a ‘’REMIXFRIENDLY'' STL that doesn't have a hole so you can add your own. It was made in FreeCAD and the source is also available if anyone wants it.
leave a like/make if you found it useful and check out my other designs :)
