This is a box for “Tempo” wet toilet wipes, improving the look & feel and aesthetics of the retail packaging in your bath room. As the wipes need to be kept moist, it is not a trivial task (and not necessary) to build a full replacement for the packaging, so I simply hid it in a new shell.
The opening in the top may be a bit tight while inserting the lid of the original packaging. But if it wasn't that tight, you could easily push the original packaging through the opening when closing the lid. So a well-tuned printer is your best option here.
Print with your default settings (e.g. 0.2mm layer height, 2 wall loops and 10% infill is fine).
You will need 8 pieces of 8x3 magnets to connect top and bottom part. I did not make the holes for the magnets super tight, so you may need a drop of glue if you have a printer that produces dinemsionally accurate prints. In case your printer has issues with dimensonal accuracy you may have to post-process/widen them with a tool. YMMV, as usual. ![]()
The opening at the top is large enough to fit the lid of the original box, but small enough that it won't slip out when the box is closed. It's best to place the upper part on the Tempo pack and push the original lid through at a slight angle (please note that the lid of the original box is not exactly centered vertically, so the box needs to be aligned accordingly)![]()
With average motor skills of three fingers of each hand, after the second or third attempt you should have found the right angle :) This should only take a few seconds. Now you turn the box upside down.![]()
Make sure that the original packaging is not sticking out anywhere and close the box with the bottom part. You are done!
